The Storm Prediction Center has issued a Tornado Watch for portions of west central Texas until 11:00 PM. Isolated tornadoes…hail to 4 inches in diameter…thunderstorm wind gust to 80 MPH and dangerous lightning are possible in these areas.

Moderate Risk for severe storms

There is a moderate risk of severe storms this afternoon into tonight across part of southwestern Kansas, western/central Oklahoma and far northern Texas. Very large hail and damaging winds will be the main threat with the storm complex along with a few tornadoes could be possible.

Storms Possible on Memorial Day

Most of Memorial Day will be storm free, but later in the evening a few storms could develop in northwest Texas and south central Oklahoma. Some of these storms could be strong to severe with large hail and damaging winds being the main threats.
